Demerara (pronounced Dem-err-rar-rar) sugar is a rare and exotic sugar sourced from plantations in the Equatorial tropics. The fine golden crystals are a coffee connoisseur’s dream. Demerara creates tantilising toppings for delicacies like crème brulee or caramelised grilled fruit. It also enhances the natural sweetness of grilled tomatoes.
