Employee Health and Wellbeing
We have an employee health and wellbeing program that promotes good health for our employees. We ensure our employees have access to resources and plans that can add value to their personal health and wellbeing. Employee wellbeing programs have many benefits. For example they can help people be more productive and reduce the number of sick days. Most importantly, employee wellness is vital for a happier workplace.
Our health and wellbeing program aims to promote every outcome that will make our employees healthier. The resources we have available include:
- A fully equipped onsite gym complete with a personal trainer
- Family days, that include, Round the Bays, site visits and factory tours
- Comprehensive health monitoring for all employees
- Fruit baskets
- Above legislated sick leave
- Extra 1-2 weeks annual holidays for our shift workers
- Flu vaccinations
- Entry and support for the Auckland Marathon
- Boot camp events
- Global Corporate Challenge
- Chelsea Harbour Swim
- Paid Southern Cross medical insurance
- Insurances for Death and Disability
Within the business we have an active ‘Better for You’ health and wellbeing group that manages events across the business to ensure our people are attaining a balance in their lives. The ’Better for you’ group work with the HR department to communicate our wellness initiatives across the business with a focus on:
- Promoting what we offer as a health and wellbeing program
- How and when they can use our wellbeing resources
- That they can get personalised wellbeing plans
- Who employees can refer to for more details
